I know I’m a few years late writing this post and sharing these photos. Everyone and their mom has been to Iceland now, right? This country has exploded in tourism in the past few years, and it has been at the top of travelers’ lists for the most impressive and magical scenery in the world. For my first post on Iceland, I thought it was only proper to do a photoessay. But photos really can’t do it justice. The scenery and the landscapes are phenomenal, and make you feel like you’re in an entirely different world altogether. It’s simply too beautiful, too staggering, too dramatic, to be captured in a photo.

But I thought I’d try anyway. Here are 20 photos to convince you Iceland is the most magical place on Earth! (With an extra sunset photo thrown in at the end!)
