This week, I was invited to an event in Leeds with eShores, a travel company based in the north! This was such a fun event bringing together bloggers across the North of England—and it was also just a really great night!
The whole night was put together for eShores, to celebrate their multi-center USA holidays. eShores is a travel agency that specializes in tailor-made holidays. The best part about eShores is that the company really focuses on customer service—from your initial enquiry to the holiday, you will deal with the same travel consultant the whole way through. eShores travel agents have a vast knowledge and expertise about their destinations. If your travel consultant doesn’t have the first-hand knowledge you need, someone in their office probably does.
As someone who works in the travel industry, we always get the best feedback when you speak to the same person throughout the booking. It’s reassuring to have the same person who knows you. I have now (finally!) been working at my company long enough that I’m starting to get repeat customers who ask for me personally. I love this, and I love that this is the same ethos eShores is based on.
The event in Leeds was so much fun! The whole night was promoting their multi-center USA holiday to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. If you’ve been a long-time blog reader, you’ll know that I absolute LOVE Vegas. It is so much fun and there’s actually a lot of free things to do in Vegas! San Francisco is at the top of my list for my next trip to the US (where I’m not going home to Minneapolis, of course).
This event with eShores took place at Lambert’s Yard, a gorgeous event space in Leeds. It was less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, which was perfect for me. The night started out with cocktails, all inspired by San Francisco! A huge thanks to Anthony from Mix & Twist for the cocktails. My favorite was Californina Ginjito (gin, mint, apple juice, lime, sugar & soda), but I also loved the Wall Banger (vodka, mango & pineapple juice, mint & galliano).
One of my favorite parts of the event was the chance to meet other northern-based bloggers! It was pretty intimidating for me, to walk into a room where I knew absolutely no one. But I had the best time, and really enjoyed it! It was great to chat with other bloggers and swap travel stories. I also loved chatting with Gavin and Kadie from eShores, and learning more about their company from them.
The food at the event was absolutely phenomenal. We were treated to a three-course meal, which was inspired by the Los Angeles food scene! All the food was done by Bears Pantry. The starter was an amazing Hawaiian Tuna Poke.
The main was definitely my favorite: friend chicken, maple syrup sage biscuits, and Julienne potatoes. This was so tasty and definitely some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!
We finished up with our dessert, which was raspberry/pomegranate Greek yogurt martini. This was so fluffy and light and I ate literally all of it in just a couple minutes. Not only that, but we had Californian wines paired which each course which were amazing!
Throughout the meal, we were treated to magic tricks from Sebastian. I literally have no idea how he did any of the tricks—it was literally like he was reading peoples’ minds! It was a really fun part of the event, and the magic was meant to tie in with the Vegas-theme of the evening.
Overall, this was such a fun event in Leeds. The food was phenomenal, the space was great, and it was so fun to learn all about eShores and their USA multi-center holidays. And best of all, they’ve even offered my readers a little discount! If you’re looking to book a holiday with eShores, you all will actually get a discount on a holiday! Quote “USA/Leeds Event” to get £100 off your booking!
You can learn more about eShores on their website here. Thanks so much for a great event! Check out posts from the event with the hashtag #BeShoreToTravelUSA!
I was invited to this event, but all opinions and photos (unless otherwise stated as photos by Elouisa) are my own!
Have you ever thought about a USA trip to Vegas, San Fran, and LA?!
[…] Photo by Elouisa Georgiou [Website]Of everything that’s happened in the last year, I’m most proud of myself for attending several blogger events. It’s nerve-wracking for me to walk into a room where I don’t know anyone and network. But I’ve done it several times now, and I’m really proud of myself! Despite all of my amazing experiences traveling solo, I still sometimes get really bad social anxiety. So going to these events where I knew no one was huge for me! I went to the media promotion for the York Food and Drink Festival in September and went to Leeds for a USA-themed evening with eShores! […]
